AA Qualifying Standards
You could be eligible by fulfilling these specific requirements:
- Age & Residency: You must be over the state pension age and living in England, Scotland, or Wales.
- Physical or Mental Disability: You have a long-term illness or disability that affects how you manage daily life or mobility.
- Personal Care Needs: You need help with washing, dressing, eating or staying safe at home.
- Duration: You've needed this support for at least 6 months
- Financial Need: While not strictly means-tested for all benefits, we screen for Pension Credit to ensure your income is supported.
Attendance Allowance
Attendance Allowance is a tax-free benefit for people of state pension age, who have a physical or mental disability or illness and need help with personal care. It is not means-tested, meaning your income and savings do not affect your eligibility.
Who is it for?
What are the rates?
It is for individuals over state pension age who require supervision or assistance with daily activities due to a long-term health condition or disability.
Lower Rate - £68.10 per week (for daytime or night-time help)
Higher Rate - £101.75 per week (for both daytime and night-time help)

If you are eligible, we will contact you with easy and fully secure options on how to pay your fee, in either a single payment or using our 5 - monthly payment plan.
From there, all help with Form 2 and a final review before we lodge your claim is included.
